I had the pleasure of meeting Inara, the owner of her own baby clothing business, Astrid and Friends! She let me practice a few branding photos of her and her amazing clothing line! I went ahead and did a little interview, so you could get to know more about Astrid and Friends and to find out what she offers at her Charlotte NC baby boutique. It can be hard to find adorable outfits in person these days, especially if you are trying to shop local! Ordering online is great and all… but being able to see colors and have your little one try things on in person is always more fun!
Q & A with Inara from Astrid & Friends
Q. How long have you been in business and what is your business story?
I have known how to sew since I was a young teenage, but it was the birth of my daughters that really took it off as a passion of mine. Both girls were hard fought for, after multiple rounds of IVF and losses, and their arrival seemed truly like a miracle. Astrid was born in 2020. followed by Marigold in 2022. I would spend late nights sewing, waiting for them to arrive, and then, later waiting for them to go to sleep. I sewed so much during Marigold’s pregnancy, that in the early days, she was calmed and quieted by the thumpthumpthump of the sewing machine running!
Q. What sizes of clothing do you sell?
I sell sized NB to size 8!
Q. Do you offer custom orders?
I do. Depending on the volume of the order, I open and close them, but you can always contact me if you have something special in mind!

Q. What are your next pop up events for your Charlotte NC baby boutique?
My spring pop up season starts February 11th with the Cupids Market in Stallings and then I will be at several events all over town come March and April!
