Expecting that first baby is truly a magical experience. There is nothing more exciting than the anticipation of meeting that new little baby you created. What will your baby look like? What will you feel? What will nursing be like? What will your spouse look like with a baby in their arms? There is nothing sweeter than when your little baby arrives and everything you dreamt of comes to fruition. It may not always be pretty (labor often is not!), but it’s YOUR story and yours only. Documenting this new, raw, bonding experience is powerful. (Seriously, I feel honored and super special any time I do a Fresh 48!) These moments truly go by so quickly and down the road, you forget all those little details about just how amazing meeting your baby is. If you are expecting in the Charlotte, NC area, I would love to be your Fresh 48 photographer. I will be part fly on the wall, and will also coach you gently into positions where you are staring at your new baby’s face, and I get to see all those emotions roll over your face with my camera. Will you be tired? Yes. Will you look your best? More than likely not. Will you regret getting these photos done? Absolutely not. I can speak from experience, that you will treasure these photos forever. They document a monumental change in your family and in your life. I wish I would have gotten Fresh 48 sessions with all of my children, but they weren’t really a thing with my first couple!

2. 📸 The session
Once baby arrives, reach out and I’ll let you know when I can head to the hospital for your session! Sessions typically take about an hour and are usually scheduled in the morning or afternoon. I will capture all the little details and moments of your room and the goings on, as well as some more posed shots of you all together as a brand new family!

3. 💻 Reveal
{Everyone’s favorite part!} About 7-10 days after your session, yoo can choose to come to the studio for an in person photo reveal or you can get a 48 hour gallery online to make your selections. You’ll get to see your photo gallery and select your absolute favorites! You place your order and I will get to work on editing your awesome photo choices and placing orders for your heirloom photography products.
Investment Details.
Your Fresh 48 session will last typically 1 hour and is shot in more of a documentary photography style. Candid photos, detail photos, and posed photos are generally all included in your session. Sessions photographed all around Charlotte, NC and other local areas.

Erin took our family’s maternity and newborn photos. She is such a pleasure to work with. Her studio is beautiful with quite a selection of women’s dresses and baby clothes/props. The quality of products is also unmatched- we ended up purchasing bound leather books that are stamped on the front and absolutely beautiful.
