Capture these fleeting moments while you can
Everything You Need for Your Newborn Session Is Right Here at the studio near charlotte, NC
Having a newborn is an adventure, and let’s be real—it’s often the messy, sleep-deprived, "wait, what day is it?" kind of adventure. Just leaving the house feels like an Olympic event. I’ve been there! I still remember when we were finally ready to head out the door for our newborn session, feeling all proud that we were “on time”…and then my son had the blowout of the century. My outfit was toast, his outfit was toast, and yeah—we were an hour late. So, believe me when I say, I get it. That’s why I’m all about making your newborn session in Charlotte, NC as stress-free as possible. Seriously, I’ve thought of everything so you don’t have to!
Snacks? Oh, don’t worry about it. I’ve got snacks and water on site—whatever you need to keep going. (Because if you’re anything like me, hunger hits at the most inconvenient times.)
Outfits? Yup, got those covered too. Feel free to roll up in your comfiest clothes, pajamas, whatever. You can choose from a variety of beautiful dresses right here in the studio. As for Dad? I’ve got neutral sweaters in gray and tan just in case he needs something cozy and picture-ready.
Hair and makeup? Yes, please! You can add professional hair and makeup to your session for just $250, and while you're getting pampered, I’ll start photographing your little one. It’s like a mini spa day where you end up with gorgeous photos! Win-win.
Baby accessories? You guessed it—I’ve got all the things. Hats, wraps, blankets, props. You don’t need to bring a single thing except your sweet baby. (Well, maybe bring some diapers…just in case!)
And the studio itself? It’s a calming little oasis. White noise, cozy heaters to keep baby snug and happy, and a comfy couch or lifestyle bed for you to kick back on. Don’t be surprised if you end up taking a little catnap while I’m photographing your tiny human. It happens all the time!
So don’t worry about a thing—I’ve got you. Your newborn session will be smooth, fun, and most importantly, stress-free. All you have to do is show up, and I’ll handle the rest. We’re going to create some amazing photos that you’ll cherish forever, without any of the usual chaos. Sounds like a plan, right?

So little they can fit in your hands…
They may start out tiny enough to fit in your hands, but don’t blink—before you know it, they’ll be chunky and rolling all over the place. Make sure to book early, so we’ve got plenty of time to capture the precious early moments that fly by faster than you think!
F.A.Q.

When should I reserve my session?
Best time to lock in your Charlotte newborn photography session? During your second trimester. Yep, I know it feels early, but this gives us all the time we need to plan, prep, and (if necessary) order those cute props and accessories. Plus, you'll avoid that last-minute scramble when you're busy trying to figure out how diapers work.
-
But What If I Don’t Know Baby’s Exact Arrival Date?
Spoiler alert: Babies come when they want to, not when we want them to. (I know this firsthand, being a mom of three!) No worries. Once you’re ready to book, I’ll pencil in your due date. When your little one finally makes their big debut, just send me a text or email, and we’ll set the session date. Easy as pie.
-
How Old Should My Baby Be for the Session?
The sweet spot for newborn sessions is when your baby is 5-17 days old. But don’t stress if you miss this window—it’s totally okay to photograph them after that. A little older, a little more awake… still totally cute.
-
When Will My Session Happen?
I schedule newborn sessions from Tuesday to Thursday, usually around 10 or 10:30 a.m. Sessions generally run 2-3 hours (babies love to take snack breaks and naps, trust me).
-
Can I add hair and makeup for myself?
Um, YES. Treat yourself, mama! Hair and makeup can be added to any full newborn session. While you’re getting pampered, I’ll work with your baby to capture those precious moments. Win-win!

I highly recommend Erin. Not only did our photos come out incredible but it was a pleasure to work with her. The entire process was catered to our families preferences. We met a few months in advance to plan the theme of our newborn shoot. The studio was warm and inviting and Erin was especially accommodating for us at two weeks postpartum. She had breakfast and all props we previously discussed ready for us upon arrival. The shoot itself was such a fun experience with our son. She was super patient and kind working with a newborn to get the shots in between fussing, feedings, and diaper changes . Afterwards, Erin had our photos ready for review quickly and again met with us to discuss which we would like finished and options for ordering. Our entire family can’t stop raving about how beautiful the photos and prints came out. We look forward to documenting many more family milestones with Erin!

Erin has been photographing my kids for almost 7 yrs now. She is absolutely the best! Her creativity and talent shows in every session I have ever had with her. We have done everything from newborn to milestones to holiday sessions with her and each one has been unique and beautiful. She really connects with my children and captures the best moments from them. I would give her 10 stars if that was an option. Go check her work out!

I was referred to Erin over 6 years ago by a friend for my first maternity pictures and I haven’t used another photographer since! Not only is she absolutely amazing at what she does, her down to earth personality creates a comfortable and relaxing environment for your photography session. I’m very indecisive on colors and props that compliment the pictures I have in mind, and when left in Erin’s hands, she always goes beyond what I could even imagine and creates the most amazing pictures. I have had maternity, family, newborn, milestone and a couple of other creative pictures made by Erin.
