The Studio Has It All For Your Newborn Session in Charlotte, NC
Having a newborn can be (and often is) stressful. You are probably sleep-deprived and don’t even know what day it is. Getting out of your home for appointments or even your photo session can be stressful. Trust me, I know. When we walked out the door with our first to travel to our newborn session, my son had the biggest blowout. My outfit was ruined, as was his, and we were an hour late for our session. I want you to know that I get it. That’s why I want to do everything humanly possible to provide you with a stress free experience for your newborn session in Charlotte, NC.
Snacks? Don’t need them. I will have snacks and water at the studio for you!
Outfits? Have those too. You can arrive in your pajamas and choose a dress from the studio.
Baby is covered, and there are neutral gray and tan sweaters at the studio available for Dad if you need them.
Hair and make up? It can be added to any newborn session for just $200. Baby will be
photographed while you get your hair and make up done for your session with an amazing
professional stylist who will make you look like a queen.
Baby accessories? I’ve got a studio FULL of props and accessories. No need to bring anything.
Relaxation? The studio is super chill and there will be white noise and warm heaters to keep your little one cozy. Most parents find it super calming as well and here and there take a little snooze on the couch or the lifestyle bed.

1. Say Hello

2. Studio Consult
Consultations are held at the Charlotte, NC, studio BEFORE the baby has arrived. (Don’t worry, if the baby is already here, we can do this over the phone!) This is a great way for us to get to know each other and gives us time to plan out your sets and colors, look at outfits for family photos, and get your session booked! I will also have all of the photo products available to see and touch, so you can start thinking about what product works best for your family.

3. The Session
Once the baby arrives, reach out, and we’ll select the day and time of your session! You will arrive at the studio to some snacks, hair and make up, and sets put together waiting for the baby. Newborn sessions typically take between 2-3 hours, depending on how sleepy the baby is. They could potentially take a little longer, depending on the length of time for hair and make up. There are toys at the studio for big brothers and sisters to play with, and neighbor horses across the street. Or a helper can take your older kiddos home early if you want to enjoy baby’s part of the session by yourself.

4. The Reveal
{Everyone’s favorite part!} We meet at the studio or a coffee spot in between us about 7-10 days after your session. You will get to see your photo gallery and select your absolute favorites! You place your order and I will get to work on editing your awesome photo choices and placing orders for your heirloom photography products.

Investment Details
Try not to blink as that precious newborn phase is so quick, they’ll be chunky and on the move before you know it. Schedule your session with me as early as possible for the best planning and to ensure your spot is saved on the schedule!
Full Sessions Are $790
Your session includes 10 beautifully edited digital images of your choice or a $700 credit towards any collection or products available at the studio. Family, sibling, and baby are all included.
Petite Wrapped Sessions Are $490
Baby is here already and you just want a couple of photos? Schedule a wrapped mini-session. This session is for the baby only. The baby will be wrapped and photographed in 3 sets. 5 beautifully edited digital images are included, or a $300 credit towards collections, images, or products.

When should I reserve my session?
The best time to reserve your Charlotte newborn photography session is during your second trimester. This gives us plenty of time to plan your session and enough time that if I need to order any special accessories for your session, they will arrive on time.

How do I schedule a session since I don't know baby's exact arrival?
Babies run on their own schedules, I am a mom to 3 and know that very well. When you are ready to reserve your session, I will put your due date on my calendar to save your date. Once baby decides to arrive, you shoot me a text or email, and I wll provide you with a few options to choose from to schedule your newborn session at the Charlotte NC studio.

how old is my baby at their newborn session?
The best time to photograph your newborn is within 5-17 days of birth. Newborn sessions can still be photographed successfully after this window, it’s not too late!

What day and time will my newborn session be?
Sessions are scheduled Tuesdays through Thursdays at 10 or 10:30. Sessions are typically 2-3 hours long.

Can I add hair and makeup for myself?
Hair and make up can be added with any full newborn session. Baby will be photographed while you get some well deserved pampering.

I highly recommend Erin. Not only did our photos come out incredible but it was a pleasure to work with her. The entire process was catered to our families preferences. We met a few months in advance to plan the theme of our newborn shoot. The studio was warm and inviting and Erin was especially accommodating for us at two weeks postpartum. She had breakfast and all props we previously discussed ready for us upon arrival. The shoot itself was such a fun experience with our son. She was super patient and kind working with a newborn to get the shots in between fussing, feedings, and diaper changes . Afterwards, Erin had our photos ready for review quickly and again met with us to discuss which we would like finished and options for ordering. Our entire family can’t stop raving about how beautiful the photos and prints came out. We look forward to documenting many more family milestones with Erin!
