Meliha Custovic is the owner of The Beauty Fairy. She is a self-taught professional hair and make up artist in Charlotte, NC and I have had the pleasure of using her services at the studio several times. She has an amazing eye for those dramatic make up looks that translate beautifully in photographs!
I asked Meliha if she could share her top three tips for getting prepped for hair and make up services! I don’t know about you, but I never know if I should wash my hair right before, or not wash my hair… moisturize first? So hopefully this will help clear up any confusion!
Here are Meliha from The Beauty Fairy’s TOP 3 tips for prep!
Tip 1: Wash your face! Always good to come with a nice clean palette with no make up from yesterday!
Tip 2: Wear a light moisturizer. Moisturizer holds the make up better but we don’t want anything too heavy and greasy.
Tip 3: No retinol creams the day before you are schedule for hair and make up!
Tip 4: Wash your hair the day before. You don’t want to go with greasy hair because your curls may not hold, but sometimes it can be the same with super freshly washed hair.
