7 Things to Love About Natural Beginnings Birth & Wellness Center
Natural Beginnings Birth & Wellness Center is a birth center located in Charlotte, NC. It is one of the only remaining birth centers nearby, as Baby & Co closed, as well as the birth center that used to be in Fort Mill. Let’s see why women love working with Natural Beginnings and what they offer!
Natural Beginnings Birth & Wellness Center has a medical staff of eight people. 6 of them are certified nurse midwives, 1 is a nurse practitioner and 1 is a certified MD with an emphasis on VBACs and high risk pregnancy. Their mission is to “help empower women and mothers to take control of their health and healthcare experiences through encouragement and not fear. “ That’s not something you often hear from a lot of medical practitioners. They aim to provide in individual experience for their patience and keep that small town feel.
Appointments are family friendly. IE- if you have other kiddos, they can come to your appointment as well! Not all doctor’s appointments allow children in the room for appointments..so this is a huge perk if you already have other children in the mix! Prenatal appointments are scheduled at the office once every 4 weeks up until 32 weeks, and then more frequently after that.
They offer birth center births at their facility. Rooms are decorated to be home-y and warm and less like a sterile white hospital room. Each room has plenty of space for you to walk around and labor. They do also offer water birth as an option! This can be used just to alleviate pain or for a water birth itself. Check out their rooms!
Not pregnant? Natural Beginnings Birth & Wellness Center also offers well women care! If you are looking for a facility who serves with compassion and sensitivity in dealing with fertility or menstruation issues.
5. Lactation consulting is also available at Natural Beginnings Birth & Wellness Center. Whether you gave birth there or not, they have several lactation consultants available during the week for any problems that may arise. They are well equipped to identify any issues that you or baby may be having with breastfeeding.
6. They can also take insurance! They are in most insurance networks and can also take NC Medicaid.
7. NBBWC is located in Statesville, NC just outside of Charlotte. They do take limited clients, so definitely reach out as early as your pregnancy as possible to get on their roster for expecting moms! Head here to contact them for an appointment.
