Pineville Maternity Center- The Perks

In an earlier blog, I mentioned location can be very important in determining where you want to give birth to your baby! The predictability of labor is that it’s unpredictable! Your labor might be 4 hours long or it might be 12 hours long, or if you’re lucky like me, it could be 37 hours long! But you won’t know until you’re in labor..and hopefully you’ve already picked out a hospital by that point!! Here are some bullet points to give you a run down about how Pineville’s Maternity Center compares.

  • recognized among the nation’s best maternity centers by U.S. News & World Report and Newsweek, for the hospital’s safety and expertise

  • After delivery, Atrium Health Levine Children’s providers care for your newborn. They’re backed by the region’s most awarded children’s hospital, with 8 U.S. News & World Report-ranked pediatric specialties – including neonatology.

  • family centered approach- skin to skin contact is encouraged immediately

  • baby and mom get the same nurse

  • rooms are equipped with tv, whirlpool tub, and a guest bed for a guest

  • maternity center has been recognized for supporting multiple birthing options and working with you to accommodate your birth plan

  • the have a NCU that can provide services for babies born as young as 28 weeks, younger and they will be transferred to another Atrium hospital

  • staffed 24 hours a day by board-certified neonatologists, nurses and respiratory therapists

Pineville Maternity Center— the Google Reviews

Pineville Maternity Center is rated a 3.1 on Google reviews. They have some great reviews talking about caring nurses and especially with scheduled c-sections. But they also have some reviews warning about the standard of care. I would definitely ask some of your mom friends who have delivered here for their experience and make your own judgement! The nurses at any maternity center can make or break your labor experience and obviously you won’t know who’s on staff until you are there.

Here is a kind review someone left 6 months ago about their labor experience in Pineville—

”Grateful for my labor and delivery experience here. Nurses are amazing and caring.”

Other considerations about Pineville Maternity Center
