When it comes to planning for your baby’s future, there are a lot of decisions you need to make. This can often become overwhelming for expecting moms, but finding a Charlotte Pediatrician is of course one of the most important tasks you’ll face. Sometimes it helps to have other moms’ perspectives, so I’ve done some research for you on who local moms love and recommend over and over again! Whether you are looking for a doctor who will really listen, one who practices more holistically, or one who is just plain great with baby and kids… here are some doctors offices that come highly recommended.

FIVE Charlotte Pediatricians to Consider for your child

Dr. Kristin Strange

Dr. Strange’s office is located in Matthews on 855 Sam-Newell Road. Dr. Strange is a Board Certified Pediatrician. She is passionate and compassionate from “cradle to college” as stated on one of her provider pages. Moms love her because she truly listens to their concerns and feelings and works with moms and children to provide them with the best care. She tends to lead with a more holistic approach and likes to empower patients (and patient’s parents) to make healthy choices for their lives. She has been practicing medicine since 1997 after she completed her residency. I personally have multiple friends who use Dr. Strange and rave about her. I am planning on looking into her for my own children in the future!

Dr. Anthonia Emezie

Dr. Emezie’s office is located in Matthews. She has over 30 years of experience and received her education in Nigeria. She is an independent provider, so she works outside of Atrium/Novant. She is also an associate professor and teaches students in pediatrics. Her office is called Covenant Pediatrics. Moms love her because she is compassionate and really listens to their concerns. Moms also mentioned that it wasn’t difficult to get same-day sick appointments.

Dr. Mildred Kaagaza

Dr. Kaagaza is a Charlotte pediatrician located at an office in Indian Trail. She works through Atrium Health Levine Indian Trail Children’s Pediatrics. Many local Union County moms recommended her because she is very patient with children and moms. She is patient and will listen to any concerns parents have, which is especially important for those first time parents. She completed her residency in 2015 and has received an accolade for having top rated patient care.

Charlotte Pediatricians

Dr. Stacey Searson

Dr. Searson is not affiliated with either Atrium or Novant. She is a direct care provider. She was recommended by several moms who raved about how patient she was and how much they appreciated the doctor and patient relationship without the traditional health insurance practices. Dr. Searson is board certified family physician from St. Louis. She served as the Director of Maternal and Child Health in the department of Family Medicine for over 10 years before she moved to this model. Mom’s raved about her patience and attention to detail. Her website states there is currently a waitlist to be added to her practice, but it sounds like she could be worth the wait!

Dr. Ana-Maria Temple

Dr. Temple is located in Charlotte and is also an independent practice. She works through Integrative Health Carolinas and focuses on children’s wellness. She seems to have more of a holistic approach- she looks at the whole problem and tries to get to the roots of it. Many moms love and recommended her practice because she listens to her patients and serves them with empathy as a doctor but also as a mom.
