Charlotte Newborn Photography: An Insider’s Guide to the Best Baby-Friendly Spots

Hey there, parents! Erin here, your friendly neighborhood newborn photographer. As both a professional photographer and a mom myself, I know how important it is to have great places to relax and recharge with your little ones. That’s why I’ve put together this insider’s guide to the best baby-friendly cafés and hangout spots in and around Charlotte.

Coco and the Director

Let’s start with one of my personal favorites - Coco and the Director in Uptown. This place is perfect for playdates or relaxing with your baby. They’ve got built-in stadium seating, cozy

bean bag nests, and tons of board games and books to keep kids entertained. Oh, and their coffee is genuinely good too! As a parent, there’s nothing better than enjoying a great cup of

coffee while your kiddo happily sips on a yummy Green Brothers smoothie.

Amelie’s

Another awesome option is Amelie’s, with locations in NoDa, Park Road, South Charlotte, and Rock Hill. These bright, airy cafés tick all the boxes for families - they’re spacious, lively, and decorated in that quirky, one-of-a-kind Amelie’s style kids love. Plus, they’ve always got an amazing selection of scrumptious pastries and snacks for your little gobblers.

Location: 7715 Pineville Matthews Rd. Unit 34B Charlotte, NC 28226

The Giddy Goat

If you find yourselves in Plaza Midwood, definitely swing by The Giddy Goat. Not only do they serve up fantastic coffee and tasty treats like empanadas, chocolate coco bites, and peanut

butter bars (a kid’s dream!), but they also do on-site coffee roasting. Watching the roasting process is mesmerizing for little ones! With the big open windows, high chairs, and patio, it’s a

super chill spot.

Mac Tabby Cat Café

For a really unique experience, check out Mac Tabby Cat Café in NoDa or Concord. That’s right -you can enjoy yummy drinks and snacks while hanging out with adoptable cats! Reservations are required, but they have special Kitty Time sessions perfect for young kids.

Location: 3204 N Davidson St, Charlotte, NC 28205

Caribou Coffee

An afternoon of errands calls for a tall cup of something warm and wonderful. Reward your littlest helpers with something from Caribou Coffee’s kid offerings like frozen cookies & cream, a reindeer drink, hot chocolate (warm or frozen), strawberry banana yogurt smoothie, or silly soda. If your four-legged friend is joining you, treat them to a Caribou Pup Cup with 4 ounces of whipped cream.

Location: 4327 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28209

No matter where you end up, getting out for a change of scenery is very refreshing as a parent. I hope this guide gives you some fresh ideas for baby-friendly hangouts in and around Charlotte!
